Carrie Nyman Ghostwriting Professional Since 2013
I grew up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and graduated cum laude from CU-Boulder with my degree in English Literature. After my first book, Why Aren’t You Sweet Like Me?? (Sunbury Press, 2012) was published, I began ghostwriting in 2013. I completed numerous fiction and nonfiction projects with my mentor and agent, Mark Graham. I’ve written Young Adult fantasy novels, safety and science books for children, venture capital business books, and several memoirs! As an independent professional ghostwriter, I’ve found that my writing thrives when it’s focused on the riveting memoirs of authentic women.
I started writing to cope with chronic pain. I was 14-years-old when I received a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis; however, I wouldn’t understand the true problem for another twenty years. During my early 30s, doctors discovered I have a rare connective tissue disorder, Ehlers-Danlos Hypermobility. There is no cure and no treatment. Fortunately, my health has improved tremendously with the help of my physical therapist and a dedicated service dog.
In 2022, my agent retired, and I started McFly! Ghostwriting with the mission of specializing in memoirs. I named my business after my first joint stability dog, a giant Caucasian Shepherd who enabled my healing progress. "McFly" helped me hike again, and I am forever grateful! Now, my big bear “Marty” helps me keep up with my partner, Dan, a Colorado Springs Firefighter/Paramedic, along with two adventurous kids.
